Ivoclar Vivadent supports Gloucester dentist in Kilimanjaro climb
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced its support for UK dental professional Peter Workman, who is soon to embark on a trip up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for charity.
Mr Workman, a partner at Affinity Dental Care in Gloucester, will be attempting the 5,895m climb in order to raise a target of 2,000 pounds for the charity RED International, which provides education, relief and development opportunities for Dalit communities in India.
Providing underprivileged populations with clean water, desks, school furniture and other essential supplies, the organisation is dedicated to ending extreme poverty and marginalisation for more than one billion people worldwide.
Thus far, Mr Workman has generated almost 900 pounds towards his overall target and hopes to reach his eventual goal with the help of Ivoclar Vivadent.
It comes after the company last month helped to support Richard Stock, operations manager at Precision Dental Studio, who successfully completed the London Marathon in a time of just over four hours.
In doing so, he was able to raise more than 4,000 pounds for Ovacome, an ovarian cancer charity.
