Norbrook updates labelling for feline usage of Loxicom

29th May 2014

Norbrook Laboratories has announced a change to the summary of product characteristics documents for its Loxicom injection for dogs and cats, as well as its Loxicom oral suspension for cats.

Following this amendment, an injection given around surgery can be followed up 24 hours later with a course of the oral product for cats, as was already the case when treating canine patients.

This will make it easier for practices to manage pain following surgery in cats. Moreover, updates to the brand labelling will make dispensing easier, with colour-coded packaging helping to differentiate the various options.

Additionally, the new clear bottles have been introduced to help pet owners remember when to reorder the product.

Norbrook's European veterinary advisor Rebekah Dudek said: "Now only one injection needs to be stocked for use in dogs and cats around surgery, which can be followed up with a course of oral treatment."

This week, the company was presented with a supplier of the year award by Countrywide, with which Norbrook has built a strong working relationship over the past two years.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801724284-ADNFCR
