Boehringer Ingelheim and Lilly to present diabetes data at ADA 2014

10th June 2014

Boehringer Ingelheim and Lilly have announced that they will be attending the forthcoming American Diabetes Association (ADA) annual scientific sessions in San Francisco.

The companies will have a total of 43 presentations featured at the event that will demonstrate the breadth and depth of their collaborative diabetes portfolio, with new information to be shared on a number of promising therapies.

Efficacy and safety data will be presented on compounds such as LY2963016, a new insulin glargine product, plus empagliflozin, linagliptin and a empagliflozin/linagliptin combination regimen.

Meanwhile, the first global insights will also be shared from IntroDia, a survey being conducted in partnership with the International Diabetes Federation to shed light on primary care physicians' challenges during the conversations at diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.

Boehringer Ingelheim and Lilly have been conducting collaborative diabetes research since agreeing a partnership deal in January 2011.

Last month, they received EU regulatory approval for Jardiance, the third product to be ratified for sale since the collaboration began.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801726976-ADNFCR
