Simplyhealth provides donation to charity group Moodswings
Simplyhealth has announced that it has provided a donation of 1,000 pounds to Moodswings, a mental health charity based in Manchester.
The organisation – which offers information, advice and support to people with mood disorders and to their friends and family – aims to help patients to live full and active lives, as well as allowing them to be productive members of their communities.
Money will be spent on the activity group for the recovery programme, where people can participate in activities to enhance confidence and build their self-esteem. Moodswings hopes to recruit more people to the group and introduce a wider range of activities, including group trips and different types of exercise that can help to relieve stress.
James Glover, spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "We are delighted to be able to support the activity group. It aims to give people the opportunity to try something new, open their horizons and develop new interests and skills as a result."
Earlier this month, the company provided 4,000 pounds to St Ann's Hospice in Greater Manchester to help support its Pay For A Day scheme and various arts and crafts events.
