BCF Technology launches equine ultrasound training videos

27th June 2014

BCF Technology has announced the launch of a new series of free learning videos for equine vets.

This is the third set of training videos released free of charge by the company, with the new 14-part series offering a step-by-step explanation of how to perform an ultrasound examination of the equine distal limb.

Created in association with the British Equine Veterinary Association, the videos are hosted by the firm's in-house vet Ben Sullivan and will provide a solid grounding in the basic principles and techniques involved in acquiring and interpreting diagnostic-quality ultrasonographic images.

A particular focus will be placed on the soft tissue structures of the palmar metacarpus and plantar metatarsus, as well as the palmar and plantar pastern region. There will also be an opportunity to earn a one-hour continuous professional development certificate by completing a short questionnaire.

Mr Sullivan – an experienced animal health practitioner who joined the company earlier this year – said: "They provide a good starting point for people to new to ultrasound or a refresher for those who haven't used it in a while."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801731867-ADNFCR
