Aspectus PR names new tech practice leader

Aspectus PR has announced the appointment of Sophie Hodgson as the new head of its technology practice, an area of growing importance for the agency.

Ms Hodgson joins the company having previously headed up her own agency SHH Comms, where she worked with clients such as affilinet, Bloxx and Qinec. Prior to this, she served as a board director at Speed Communications from its establishment in 2009.

The new role of head of technology has been created by Aspectus as it seeks to grow and expand its tech PR team and acquire new business, reports PRWeek.

Currently, the firm has a number of clients in the energy and financial services sectors and the technology vendors that support them, but it now wishes to build on the work it has performed in this sector, following recent expansions into New York and Singapore.

The company will also soon be opening an office in Germany and has been working to expand the capabilities of its team for a number of months.
