Ivoclar Vivadent wins accolade for Bluephase Style

Ivoclar Vivadent has earned a prestigious industry design accolade in recognition of the benefits of its Bluephase Style curing light.

The company has won a bronze award for its Medical Design Excellence Awards 2014 within the dental instruments, equipment and supplies category, showing it was one of the top products in its market niche.

Criteria for the assessment of the product features included the degree of technological innovation, design and development progress embodied by the device, as well as the patient benefits, economic advantages and overall contribution to the health system.

Bluephase Style was launched in 2011 as a smaller, more convenient version of its established Bluephase curing light, its ergonomic shape and low weight making it usable by men and women alike.

Ivoclar Vivadent was previously presented with red dot and iF product design awards for the device back in 2012, earning praise for Bluephase Style's comfortable form factor and functional benefits, as well as its intuitive two-button operation.
