Ivoclar Vivadent launches Telio CAD A16 polymer block
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of its new, highly cross-linked polymer block Telio CAD A16, a new innovation that will help dental practices to achieve a fully digital workflow.
The new product features a pre-fabricated interface, which allows the direct fabrication of hybrid implant restorations for single-tooth temporisation. This ensures more flexibility and esthetics at all stages of creating implant-supported restorations.
Other benefits of the block include the fact it enables CEREC and inLab users to create customised monolithic hybrid abutment crowns, with pre-fabricated interfaces in various sizes tailored to the requirements of titanium bases from Sirona.
Using this product, treatment time for users and patients can be reduced, while the hybrid abutment crown is easy to adjust and provides a clear idea of what the permanent restoration will look like.
The company said: "As a result of the industrial production process, temporary hybrid abutment crowns made of Telio CAD A16 fit extremely accurately. Therefore, the treatment time for both users and patients is reduced."
Last month, the firm was presented with a bronze award at the Medical Design Excellence Awards 2014 for its Bluephase Style curing light, earning recognition for the technological advances and ergonomic benefits offered by the device.
