Red Consultancy merges corporate and technology leadership roles
The Red Consultancy has merged its corporate and technology managing director roles, following the departures of previous occupants Jonathan Oates and Paul Wooding.
Steph Bailey, formerly of Edelman and Hill and Knowlton Strategies, has joined the agency to fill the new joint corporate/technology managing director position, with Red expecting to achieve strategic benefits from the move, reports PRWeek.
Red chief executive officer Mike Morgan said: "She's a perfect fit to lead the formal combining of our already strong corporate and technology practices – realising an ambition we have had for some time."
Mr Oates, the former corporate division head, has confirmed he will be moving into an in-house role at the start of September 2014. In his time at Red, he played a role in handling the key Samsung account.
Meanwhile, Mr Wooding will also depart next month to handle comms for mobile phone manufacturer Bullitt, though he will continue to work with Red on a consultancy basis.
Red's other technology sector clients include brands such as Rackspace, Adobe, RootMetrics, ClickSoftware and Activision.
