ResMed to roll out new Air Solutions platform

ResMed has announced the launch of a series of products for the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing, which together form an innovative new connected care platform.

The ResMed Air Solutions portfolio features data-driven components addressing a range of different purposes and uses, ranging from diagnosis to treatment, compliance management and patient engagement.

Its new ApneaLink Air and AirFit masks have already been launched in the US and other selected markets, while the AirSense 10 continuous and automatic positive airway pressure devices and AirView monitoring and compliance management system will be introduced this month.

Additional products, such as the AirCurve 10 series of bi-level devices and myAir patient engagement application and software, will launch later this year.

Don Darkin, president of ResMed's sleep-disordered breathing business unit, said: "As we unveil each Air Solutions component, our signature differentiation of superior performance and comfort will be underscored, made even stronger with groundbreaking technology that helps providers become more connected with their patients."

During the 12 months ending on June 30th 2014, the company generated revenue of $1.55 billion (922.81 million pounds), up by three percent year on year.
