Weber Shandwick’s global tech practice head departs

18th August 2014

Weber Shandwick has confirmed the departure of Tim Fry, its long-serving global technology practice chair.

Mr Fry has been with the company since 1996 and occupied a series of roles of increasing responsibility and importance, moving into the position of global tech leader in January last year.

The agency is yet to confirm the reason for his departure and has not made public any plans to hire a replacement.

A statement from Weber Shandwick said Mr Fry "has made a significant contribution to the firm, from his early work in our Seattle office to, more recently, his role as tech practice lead based out of New York".

This comes after the firm appointed Lee Noonan as its global chief technology officer last week. Mr Noonan – a technology expert with nearly two decades of experience in enterprise software, internet infrastructure and web application organisations – was appointed from Havas Worldwide Digital, and will be based in New York.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801742713-ADNFCR
