Nobel Biocare continues recent momentum in Q2 2014

26th August 2014

Nobel Biocare has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2014, during which it achieved a revenue total of 144.3 million euros (114.89 million pounds).

This represented a year-on-year increase of 2.5 percent on a constant exchange rate basis. For the first half of the year, net profit was up 34 percent to 28.5 million euros.

Q2 2014 marked the fifth consecutive quarter of revenue growth for the company, with a strong performance noted in terms of implant systems and in many major markets such as the US, France, Italy and Russia.

Nobel Biocare expects the global dental implant market to grow at a low single-digit rate in 2014, with the company's revenue to increase by around three to four percent for the full year.

Richard Laube, chief executive officer of Nobel Biocare, said: "Our strategy of turning Nobel Biocare around through leading innovation, value-added customer support, training and education, and increasing operational efficiency is unquestionably working and we believe more progress is yet to come."

This comes after the firm announced last month that it has reduced the size of its executive committee, following the departures of Petra Rumpf and Walter Ritter.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801744587-ADNFCR
