Wunderman wins global brief with GlaxoSmithKline

27th August 2014

Wunderman has won a new contract with health and consumer products company GlaxoSmithKline to handle its global digital advertising account.

Following a global review that commenced last year, the firm has been selected as a lead agency for this brief, having beat off competition from Possible Worldwide during the final stage of the selection process, reports Campaign.

Wunderman will now be tasked with handling digital marketing activity for a number of key GlaxoSmithKline brands, including the antiviral drug Zovirax and the skincare products Oilatum and Physiogel.

GlaxoSmithKline has been investing heavily in advertising in recent months, launching a new superhero-themed campaign for its Aquafresh range this summer.

This comes after the company split its estimated one billion pound media planning and buying business between Group M and Omnicom Media Group last September, with MediaCom retaining the 60 million pound UK business.

Grey Worldwide continues to handle the bulk of the firm's UK advertising account, which will be unaffected by the current review.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801744744-ADNFCR
