Colgate provides support for BDA Oral Health Month
Colgate has allied with the British Dental Association (BDA) for Oral Health Month 2014, an annual campaign aimed at encouraging people to take better care of their teeth and gums.
Running throughout September 2014, the initiative will involve the participation of dental practices across the UK, with dentists providing patients with information on how to improve their oral health.
As part of the campaign, Colgate will be relaunching its Bright Smiles, Bright Future project, which specifically aims to promote better dental care habits among children. It will give out packs containing toothbrushes and toothpaste to around 300,000 children during the month.
Bright Smiles, Bright Future was originally launched in 1991 and has reached 80 different nations to date, making a particularly pronounced impact in developing countries.
Practices that have signed up to celebrate Oral Health Month will be sent these packs to give out to patients, in addition to promotional materials such as posters, leaflets and other resources.
This comes after the firm published a consumer survey last month showing that study many parents find it hard to help their children to improve their oral health through a better diet.
