CVS adds three new practices to UK portfolio

2nd October 2014

CVS has announced the addition of three new small animal and mixed practices to its growing UK portfolio.

The first of these, Castle Vets, was added in June 2014. A mixed practice in County Durham, it operates sites in Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland and Lanchester, with a workforce of around 37.

Riversbrook Veterinary Group, which has two sites in Ipswich, joined in July 2014, while West Mount Vets' Aspley branch was acquired the following month, joining the existing five West Mount Vets practices based around Huddersfield and Halifax.

This brings CVS' portfolio of UK practices to 100, operating from 268 sites.

Simon Innes, chief executive of CVS, said: "These latest acquisitions confirm our focus on broadening the range of practices within CVS, both in terms of the type of practice and in terms of geographic spread."

This comes after the company purchased the West End Veterinary Partnership, a well-established small animal practice in Edinburgh, in August.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801752395-ADNFCR
