Waters launches new Acquity UPC2 analytical columns
Waters has expanded its Acquity UPC2 product portfolio with the addition of new analytical columns for optimising convergence chromatography.
Designed for chiral and achiral separations, the Waters Acquity UPC2 Trefoil Columns are 2.5-micron particle columns that increase the speed and selectivity of the process, while reducing method development time.
The columns work with the Waters Acquity UPC2 System and combine with its low-dispersion design to offer optimised performance and reduce the overall carbon footprint of the process.
Waters introduced its latest products at the SFC 2014 industry conference, and they are now available for shipment worldwide.
Michael Yelle, vice-president of Waters' consumables business unit, said: "These columns deliver a new standard of performance in terms of the robustness and reliability that scientists have come to expect from analytical HPLC."
Last month, the company announced the opening of its new custom-built global mass spectrometry headquarters in Wilmslow. It spans 2,313 sq m and will employ more than 500 people.
