UCB reports satisfaction with performance in first nine months of 2014

24th October 2014

UCB has announced its financial results for the first nine months of 2014, during which it generated a revenue total of 2.6 billion euros (2.05 billion pounds).

This represented a year-on-year increase of six percent – eight percent when measured at constant exchange rates – with core medicines, Cimzia, Vimpat and Neupro tracking towards the company's peak sales and 2014 financial targets.

Combined sales of these three products grew 23 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2013, helping to offset falling demand for the Keppra franchise.

These trends, plus the ongoing progress it is making with its pipeline developments, have led UCB to re-confirm its full-year revenue target of between 3.5 billion euros and 3.6 billion euros.

Jean-Christophe Tellier, chief executive officer-elect of UCB, said: "We continue to drive operational excellence and carefully allocate our resources for optimal impact on our pathway to become the patient–preferred biopharma leader."

Mr Tellier is set to officially succeed Roch Doliveux as the company's chief executive at the start of next year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801756283-ADNFCR
