Idexx delivers strong performance in third quarter of 2014
Idexx has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2014, during which it delivered a year-on-year revenue increase of 14 percent.
Its revenue total for the quarter was $384 million (301.38 million pounds), thanks to strong growth across all business segments and regions.
Catalyst and haematology instrument placements both increased more than 30 percent in US and international markets, with its US transition to an all-direct sales strategy for 100 percent direct order and fulfilment capability completed ahead of schedule.
Other key highlights include the implementation of plans for the imminent launch of the next-generation chemistry analyser Catalyst One, and the placement of 3,200 Snap Pro mobile devices.
Jonathan Ayers, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, said: "We achieved exceptional growth across our business in the third quarter, reflecting benefits from our investments in our global commercial capability and innovation pipeline."
The firm expects this month's launch of 100 percent direct ordering capabilities – two months ahead of schedule – will improve the quality of service it is able to offer its customers.
