Unilever launches new Project Sunlight TV advertisements
Unilever has announced the launch of Bright Future Speeches, a new advertising campaign to support its humanitarian Project Sunlight initiative.
The adverts will focus on eight young people who have visions for a brighter future, sharing ideas on sustainable living and encouraging others to take action to tackle hunger, poverty and poor sanitation.
It will be the first ever TV advertisement for the Unilever brand itself and ties in with the company's Sustainable Living Plan, which aims to help more than one billion people to improve their health and wellbeing by 2020.
The ads are expected to reach more than 300 people across five countries – including the UK, US and Indonesia – in the coming weeks.
Unilever's chief marketing and communications officer Keith Weed said: "A year after the launch of Project Sunlight, a long-term initiative focused on creating a brighter future for children, Unilever is shining a light on the young people inspiring change in their communities."
This comes after the firm recently issued a call for EU member states to adopt a more ambitious position on energy efficiency, renewables and climate change.
