Nobel Biocare announces new nominations for board of directors
Nobel Biocare has announced its nominees for a new-look board of directors, to be voted on during a shareholders' meeting planned for December 15th 2014.
The US-based Jonathan Graham and Mischa Reis have been proposed as directorial candidates, in addition to the UK-based Colin Davis. Meanwhile, Hampshire resident Philip Bernard Whitehead has been nominated as the new chairman of the board.
These recommendations are in line with the suggestions made by Danaher Corporation, which is in the process of closing a deal to acquire Nobel Biocare.
Against this backdrop, it was previously announced that Edgar Fluri, Franz Maier, Michel Orsinger, Juha Raisanen, Oern Stuge and Georg Watzek will step down from the board once the takeover is finalised next month.
Daniela Bosshardt-Hengartner, Raymund Breu and Rolf Watter will also resign from their posts at the end of the December 15th shareholders' meeting.
The acquisition will see Nobel Biocare become a cornerstone of the Danaher dental platform, giving the firm a leading position in the dental implants market.
