Biotronik launches new ProMRI SystemCheck online tool

26th November 2014

Biotronik has announced the launch of its new online tool ProMRI SystemCheck, which is designed to save time and streamline workflows for medical staff.

The tool has been developed for tracking the ProMRI status of implantable devices, which means they are equipped with technology that allows patients to undergo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans without disrupting the device's functionality.

Offering a simple online interface, the system allows users to select their country from an auto-complete menu, input the device name and then brings up information about whether they are MR conditional with a single click.

The site also includes an overview of scanning conditions for particular device and lead combinations, as well as required checks for each device before scanning.

Wolf Ruhnke, vice-president at Biotronik, said: "As a pioneer of ProMRI technology, Biotronik has always placed the utmost value on innovative and high-quality products and their ease of use."

The company has been producing ProMRI-enabled devices since 2010, expanding its capability to make full-body scans available to pacemaker patients for the first last year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801762574-ADNFCR
