Idexx Laboratories launches new CardioPet ECG device

10th December 2014

Idexx Laboratories has announced the launch of its new CardioPet ECG device, with the first deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2015.

Featuring six leads and pet-friendly clips, the new electrocardiography system offers regulatory compliance, improved diagnostic quality and patient comfort, as well as making it possible for vets to view the ECGs to ensure the quality of tracings before submitting them.

Since submitting an ECG using this device no longer requires a phone call, practices can file their cases electronically at their convenience at any time of day. In addition, vets will be able to combine ECGs, radiographs and/or echocardiograms in a single transmission.

Donald Schofield, general manager of Idexx Telemedicine Consultants, said: "Whether used for preoperative screenings or for managing cardiac cases, this information helps our cardiology team collaborate more fully with veterinarians."

This follows the launch of the company's Catalyst One Chemistry Analyser last month, a device for use in a variety of laboratory diagnostic applications.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801765309-ADNFCR
