Beckman Coulter to use RealVNC’s remote access technology

26th January 2015

Beckman Coulter has enlisted the services of RealVNC and its remote access technology for its support system.

The firm will be using RealVNC's virtual network computing (VNC) software, with an enterprise licence to its life sciences and diagnostics products to enable it to efficiently support these systems.

Furthemore, Beckman Coulter will also use the other firm's VNC Viewer SDK to create its own viewer for iOS, which will allow its technical support representatives to take control of their systems remotely from an iPad or iPhone.

This will provide staff members with unrivalled flexibility, as they will be able to use the technology in the field, as well as on-site.

John Hetzler, from software engineering senior manager, workflow and IT solutions for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, said: "RealVNC’s technology and expertise will allow us to enhance our products and the way we serve our laboratory customers."

He added that the collaboration will enable his firm to develop customised technology that will enhance its IT solutions.

Richard Pickul, strategic alliances manager at RealVNC, said that the partnership is a great example of a large organisation leveraging the power of VNC as part of a range of commercially available devices.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801771964-ADNFCR
