MSD Animal Health offers new tools and services to poultry producers

MSD Animal Health is offering new tools and services to help poultry producers benchmark, identify and track improvements in their operations, according to a statement from the firm.

One of the new resources is the Convenience Programme Audit, which has been designed to help the poultry industry control respiratory diseases starting from the hatchery, improving vaccination processes and enhancing general performance.

It has also been designed to meet farmers' current and future needs for process improvement and allows them to choose the right combination of drugs, as well as the most favourable route of application.

MSD Animal Health claims that when combined, these factors reduce stress and improve the birds' breathing from the very beginning.

The method of vaccine timing introduced by the Convenience Programme Audit is to incorporate in-ovo applications with day-old techniques. This provides earlier and longer protection.

Earlier this month, MSD Animal Health announced that it would be a platinum sponsor of the International Production and Processing Expo, which was held between January 27th and 29th in Atlanta, Georgia.
