Cook Group promotes general counsel

Cook Group has announced the appointment of Cynthia Kretz, its general counsel since 2008, to the expanded position of vice-president and general counsel.

Ms Kretz will continue her work leading the global operations of the company's legal department, while also directing representation in court for Cook Group Incorporated and its affiliates. The promotion follows seven successful years leading the legal team.

Prior to joining Cook, Ms Kretz worked at Wabash National from 1999 to 2007, where she helped establish its legal department and eventually ascended to the post of vice-president and general counsel, and secretary to the board of directors.

Kem Hawkins, president of Cook Group, said: "Since joining Cook, she has been passionate in her work on various issues to positively impact patients and our local communities."

This comes after the organisation promoted Connie Jackson, who has been with Cook for almost four decades, to the role of senior vice-president for human resources in September 2014.
