TTP Labtech and Almac to offer comprehensive fluorescence lifetime solution

TTP Labtech has announced a new strategic alliance with Almac that will bring together innovations from both companies to offer a complete fluorescence lifetime technology (FLT) solution.

The new offering combines Almac's proprietary Flexlyte FLT reagents and assays with TTP Labtech's new Ameon microplate reader, providing customers with a cost-effective and flexible screening approach.

Users will be able to buy all the equipment and essential reagents from TTP Labtech, receiving aftersale support from the company, with Almac's manufacturing and new assay development expertise underpinning its functionality.

TTP Labtech's Ameon FLT reader technology has been optimised for use with Almac's assays through an extensive beta-partner programme involving four major pharmaceutical companies.

Dr Wayne Bowen, chief scientific officer of TTP Labtech, said: "The Flexyte and Ameon combination aims to set a new benchmark for productive screening through better discrimination of lead compounds."

The firm is a global developer and manufacturer of automated laboratory equipment and is based near Cambridge, with nearly 75 percent of its staff working directly in research and development.
