Hill-Rom names new member of board of directors

13th March 2015

Hill-Rom has announced the appointment of medical device industry veteran Stacy Enxing Seng to its board of directors.

Ms Enxing Seng most recently served as an executive in residence for Covidien and acted as president of the company's vascular therapies division from 2012 to 2014, and prior to this as peripheral vascular president from 2010 to 2012.

She originally joined Covidien in 2010 following its acquisition of ev3 Incorporated, while prior to this she was employed by SCIMED, Boston Scientific, American Hospital Supply and Baxter. Ms Enxing Seng also currently serves on the boards of Sonova and Solace Therapeutics.

Rolf Classon, chairman of the Hill-Rom board of directors, said: "Her background provides a broad range of managerial and operational experience that will serve our shareholders and board extremely well."

Meanwhile, Dr Joanne Smith is retiring from the Hill-Rom board after 12 years of service, helping the firm achieve numerous significant milestones during this time.

The company is currently enjoying a period of strong growth, driven in large part by the recent acquisition of Trumpf Medical.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801779623-ADNFCR
