Sigma-Aldrich launches special green issue of Aldrichimica Acta
Sigma-Aldrich has announced the launch of the first-ever 'green' issue of its chemical review journal Aldrichimica Acta, as part of the next phase of its global green chemistry initiative.
Guest-edited by Professor Bruce Lipshutz, the issue contains the latest insights from 15 of the world's foremost experts on green chemistry, as well as the latest developments in fields such as fluorous chemistry, organic synthesis, biocatalysis and biomass conversion.
Meanwhile, the company's green website has been updated to provide the latest information and shareable content on all aspects of green chemistry.
Dr Scott Batcheller, manager of chemistry, research and development and product management at Sigma-Aldrich, said: "We are enabling our scientists and customers to make discoveries that will move science forward while reducing the impact on the environment."
Sigma-Aldrich has developed a portfolio of greener products that offer alternatives to many traditional chemical offerings. It is the broadest offering currently available on the market.
Efforts such as these have helped to earn the company a place in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the Global 100 Index list of the top 100 most sustainable corporations.
