Analysis shows rising revenues for UK dental industry

31st March 2015

A new analysis has revealed that the UK dental industry achieved a significant increase in revenues in the four years to 2014.

According to independent finance provider LDF, the country's top 100 dentists boosted their collective annual turnover to the tune of 22 per cent between 2010 and last year.

In 2014 alone, their joint incomes came close to one billion pounds, the firm's analysis showed.

LDF managing director Peter Alderson said the results demonstrate how the British public "have taken to cosmetic dentistry in a big way", with procedures such as laser whitening, straightening and computerised smile analysis attracting greater numbers of consumers year on year.

He added that this should come as an impetus for dentists to invest in their practices' equipment, furnishings and IT systems.

"[Patients] are willing to pay significant amounts of money for cutting-edge services, especially if they are delivered in a more exclusive, private clinic-style environment," the managing director claimed.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801781892-ADNFCR
