Beckman Coulter launches scalable RNA-Seq service line for samples

Beckman Coulter has launched a scalable RNA-Seq service line for processing both intact and degraded ribonucleic acid (RNA) samples.

The expanded sequencing options also include the ability to capture stranded and long non-coding-RNA information.

Beckman, which provides sequencing solutions to research and healthcare institutions across the world, has added stranded, ribodepletion and globin reduction library construction options to their existing RNA-Seq services.

The firm's Illumina TruSeq Stranded Total RNA Sample Prep Kit has been automated to enable scalability and LMS sample tracking. It has been validated for human, mouse, rat and plant samples, while it can also be used for samples derived from blood and FFPE.

It delivers consistent results run after run, according to Beckman, and it reduces user variability and bias. It also allows scientists to process large amounts of samples with reduced turnaround time compared to manual library construction.
