Axon, Cohn and Wolfe earn CIPR Award nominations for healthcare campaigns
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has announced its shortlist of nominees for the forthcoming CIPR Excellence Awards, which will be held in London in June.
A number of health PR agencies and initiatives were named among the nominees, with Axon Communications, Cohn and Wolfe, the British Heart Foundation, JPR, St John Ambulance and the Southern Health and Social Care Trust to compete for the best healthcare campaign prize.
Elsewhere, specialist health PR agency Pegasus was shortlisted for the outstanding large PR consultancy award, while organisations such as Astellas Pharma, Cancer Research UK, the Department of Health and Diabetes UK all received nods in various categories.
Paul Mylrea, the former CIPR president and director of communications at the University of Cambridge, said: "The standard of entries continues to improve year on year, demonstrating an increasingly vibrant public relations profession."
Shortlisted entrants from across the 28 categories will be assessed by up to four expert category judges at panel interviews hosted at the CIPR in London. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Old Billingsgate in London on June 3rd.
