Otto Communications wins retained PR account with Phonak UK

Otto Communications has won a new UK PR brief with Swiss hearing aid manufacturer Phonak following a competitive pitch.

The firm has been selected as Phonak's new retained PR agency and has been tasked with running the client's UK press office and supporting new product launches and corporate comms, reports PRWeek.

A key focus of the work will be driving awareness of Lyric, Phonak's new invisible hearing aid, which can be worn continuously for months at a time. Otto was hired on the back of its experience in the medical technology and broader consumer tech space.

The previous holder of this account was Pegasus, which has worked with Phonak since taking over from Weber Shandwick in 2007.

Other Otto clients include health-related businesses such as GE Healthcare, Physio Control, Hand on Heart and Geko.
