Mast wins outstanding achievement award for Mast Uri System

Mast has earned another industry accolade for its flagship Mast Uri System at the 2015 Medilink UK Awards.

The company was recognised with the BioHub Birmingham Outstanding Achievement Award for its semi-automated laboratory solution for microbiological urine analysis, which has been a substantial success for the firm.

It offers higher throughputs, simplified processing and rapid turnaround times compared to conventional bacterial culture-based methodologies, while significantly reducing cost and waste.

Mast continues to introduce new accessories and complementary products for the Mast Uri System and will shortly be building a new factory to help meet demand.

Howard Rose, managing director at Mast, said: "We feel very proud to win the Outstanding Achievement Award, as we are a small to medium-sized enterprise and we have developed the Mast Uri System ourselves."

This comes after the firm previously won the Medical Engineers Outstanding Achievement Award at the regional Medilink North West Awards in December 2014.
