Stryker delivers strong organic sales growth in second quarter of 2015
Stryker has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2015, during which it was able to maintain its positive momentum from the first quarter.
The company's net sales total came to $2.4 billion (1.54 billion pounds), up by 2.9 percent year over year, or by seven percent on a constant currency basis. This strong organic growth was reflected across its orthopaedics, MedSurg, and neurotechnology and spine divisions.
Its reported diluted net earnings per share increased 212.1 percent to $1.03 – or by 11.1 percent to $1.20 on an adjusted basis – while its reported net earnings increased by 206.3 percent to $392 million in the quarter.
As such, Stryker has raised its full-year organic sales growth guidance to between 5.5 percent and 6.5 percent, while its adjusted diluted net earnings per share guidance is now from $5.06 to $5.12.
Kevin Lobo, chairman and chief executive officer of Stryker, said: "Our strong first half performance and positive momentum is reflected in our raised guidance and underscores the strength of our people and diversified portfolio."
