Animalcare launches new antifungal tablet for dogs
Animalcare has announced the launch of Fungiconazol, a new antifungal tablet indicated for the treatment of ringworm in dogs.
The new product is the UK's only veterinary licensed antifungal tablet for canines, with each tablet containing 200 or 400 mg of ketoconazole, to be administered at a dosage of ten mg per kg bodyweight once daily.
Utilising four-way-split SmartTabs, each tablet can be split easily into quarters or halves, allowing accurate treatment for dogs. The hypoallergenic chicken-flavoured tablets also mean that Fungiconazol is suitable for animals with food allergies or atopic dermatitis.
It will join brands such as Aqupharm, idENTICHIP, Cephacare, Amoxycare, Oxycare, Trimacare and Marbocare in the Animalcare portfolio.
Tony Liepman, Animalcare product manager, said: "This is a great addition to our antimicrobial range, and shows once again that it's possible for us to be innovative without breaking anyone's budget."
Established in 1988, Animalcare is based in York and has 14 sales representatives, two regional managers and a head of sales, backed by a full head office team of technical and marketing professionals.
