Cello Health Consulting hires new consultant

Cello Health Consulting has hired Gareth Thurston, a pharmaceutical marketing professional with more than 20 years of industry experience, as a new consultant.

Mr Thurston has been employed in a wide range of senior roles at leading pharma companies, having recently spent seven years at Novartis, where he served as brand lead for ophthalmology and head of marketing for the company's leading product.

Prior to this, he spent seven years at Gilead, with Vidamed, Abbott and Astra Pharmaceuticals also among his former employers, reports Pharmafile.

Mr Thurston will be based at Cello Health Consulting's European office in Farnham, with his work leveraging his expertise in strategic thinking, leadership and matrix management, as well as his ability to help cross-functional teams to engage and perform effectively.

Jon Bircher, chief executive of Cello Health Consulting, said: "Gareth is a strategic marketer with strong leadership and organisational skills, and he brings a wide experience working in some of Europe's biggest pharma companies."

This follows the agency's appointment of Robert Stringer as a new senior consultant back in June.
