Agilent to launch sample-preparation product for food testing

12th August 2015

Agilent Technologies has announced the forthcoming launch of Agilent Bond Elut Enhanced Matrix Removal-Lipid, a new food testing product.

Designed to help food-safety labs more accurately test high-fat samples, the product utilises an innovative sorbent technology to help achieve cleaner sample profiles with significantly improved reliability.

By removing lipids from samples, it becomes easier for laboratories to improve data quality, increase confidence in results and reduce sample re-runs, thus translating into higher throughput and lower operating costs.

Cleaner sample profiles also lead to cleaner instruments, which reduces the need for sample-related instrument maintenance and further reduces operating costs.

Helen Stimson, vice-president and general manager of Agilent's chemistries and supplies division, said: "By preparing samples with our new product, labs will be better able to remove matrix interferences that have made their test results challenging to reproduce – until now."

The company is a leader in life sciences, diagnostics and applied chemical markets, employing around 12,000 people worldwide.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801797402-ADNFCR
