Hill and Knowlton Strategies appoints data scientist to tech team

17th August 2015

Hill and Knowlton has announced the appointment of Sophie Warnes as its first data strategist with immediate effect.

Ms Warnes is an experienced data and social media journalist, having worked for the Independent and the Guardian's Datablog. Most recently, she worked at Ampp3d, the Daily Mirror's data-driven journalism site.

Initially, her work will be dedicated to assisting the agency's technology portfolio of clients, reporting directly to Charlie Morgan, managing director for technology at Hill and Knowlton Strategies.

Mr Morgan said: "Her ability to recognise trends and turn this data into stories with impact will be highly valuable to the agency and our clients."

This follows the appointment of Vikki Chowney as the firm's director of content and publishing strategy in January, and the creation of its new Publishing Board – including LinkedIn, Buzzfeed, Twitter, The Pool, Channel Mum and Brandwatch – back in May.

Ms Warnes' hire also aligns with the goals of Hill and Knowlton's HER (Helping Executives Rise) programme, which aims to improve levels of female representation within its UK team.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801797828-ADNFCR
