Ivoclar Vivadent publishes new guidebook on importance of fluoride

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the publication of a new patient guidebook that will educate parents on the importance of fluoride in oral health.

Dental practices will be able to order the new guidebook free of charge, with each package of 20 coming with a stand-up display for use in surgeries.

The brochure provides information on the importance of proper dental hygiene measures, including fluoride products, as well as the need to care for deciduous teeth and how to avoid damage.

It also clearly explains what fluoride is and the part it plays in keeping teeth healthy –  a key concern when it comes to broader considerations of children's health.

The company said: "Fluoride is generally recognised among experts to play an important role in the prevention of caries; nonetheless, the necessity of applying fluoride in order to prevent caries continues to be the subject of some discussion."
