Boehringer Ingelheim announces retirement of field sales manager
Boehringer Ingelheim has announced the retirement of Chris Gee, the long-serving field sales manager for its animal health business in the UK.
Mr Gee has been working in the industry for 40 years, of which 35 have been spent with Boehringer Ingelheim. He joined the company in 1980, when the organisation established its UK operations.
His first role was as a territory manager in the north-west of England, the Midlands and Wales; since then, he has played a key role in establishing the firm's new products in the marketplace in the cattle, equine and small animal sectors.
The veteran staff member was also instrumental in the company's success in launching Metacam and other leading brands, and was involved with a variety of industry organisations and associations, eventually being made an honorary member of the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association.
Mr Gee said: "I am going to miss the many people that I have been fortunate to have met and worked with over the years, both customers and colleagues."
