Teva named UK’s best generics company for 13th straight year

Teva has been named the best generics company in the UK at the Pharmacy Business Awards for the 13th consecutive year.

The company's generic offering, which includes a community pharmacy partnership scheme, services and customer service, was voted as the winner of the award by professional pharmacists who read Pharmacy Business magazine.

Held annually, the awards aim to recognise and reward the hard work done by pharmacists across the country, as well as honouring the manufacturers and products that have stood out throughout the year.

Paul Burden, generics director for Teva UK, said: "We don't take this for granted, and are constantly working to make sure that our offering is tailored to our customers' needs."

Teva is one of the UK's top ten pharmaceutical manufacturers by size, with the widest range of any UK generic pharmaceutical company. It markets solid and liquid dose, injectable and respiratory medicines to healthcare professionals.

The UK branch of the Israel-based healthcare company has been operating for around 80 years.
