MHP Communications appoints former health minister as adviser
MHP Communications has announced the appointment of Liberal Democrat politician Paul Burstow as an adviser to the agency.
Mr Burstow served as minister of state for health under the previous coalition government between 2010 and 2012, and as MP for Sutton and Cheam from 1997 until the General Election earlier this year.
He will be tasked with providing strategic advice and support to MHP's clients and staff, working primarily within the agency's health practice and aiding its thought leadership and marketing activity.
MHP's chief executive officer Gavin Devine said: "I am very proud that well-respected people like Paul want to work with MHP, which is a testament to the company's superb reputation."
He joins other senior MHP advisers such as former home secretary Charles Clarke and Sir Brian Bender, a former permanent secretary for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
MHP established its dedicated global healthcare comms practice in 2013 and continues to build on its capabilities.
