Thermo Fisher Scientific launches new LC-MS system at HUPO 2015

1st October 2015

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of its new liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system at the annual world congress of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO).

During the recent event in Vancouver, the company showcased its new EASY-nLC 1200 system and Acclaim PepMap nanoLC columns, which provide proteomics laboratories with a new nano LC system with dedicated columns.

The system offers a pressure capacity of 1,200 bar to provide effortless separation performance and high-throughput capacity, with maintenance-free ceramic valves to decrease downtime and tool-free nanoViper connections for fast and reproducible results.

Meanwhile, the Acclaim PepMap nanoLC columns are designed to handle the high-pressure capability while maximising sensitivity and resolution.

This capability increases the number of protein identifications for improved proteome analysis, which in turn delivers excellent confidence in the LC-MS results.

Remco Swart, director of LC-MS technologies at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "In combination with our leading mass spectrometry technologies, the EASY-nLC 1200 pushes the boundaries in proteomics without compromising robustness."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801802077-ADNFCR
