Droga5 selected by Unilever for global Impulse body spray brief
Droga5 has won a new contract with Unilever to market its Impulse body spray brand globally following a competitive pitch.
The agency succeeds the Argentinian marketing firm Ponce in handling the Impulse brand's global creative account, and will now work with Impulse's in-house team to create a campaign spanning TV, social media and print, reports Campaign.
A media budget is yet to be determined for the project, with the work expected to go public in 2017. The aim of the campaign is to help the brand to reconnect with a Millennial audience.
Combining elements of a perfume and a deodorant, Impulse was first launched in South Africa in 1972 and is currently the UK & Ireland's best-selling female body spray.
Eugenia Zalis, global brand vice-president at Unilever, said: "The brand is undergoing an exciting new global relaunch and we are confident that we have now found the ideal partner to help us communicate this to girls all over the world."
This follows Droga5's recent hire of David Kolbusz, former joint executive creative director at Wieden and Kennedy New York, as its London office's new chief creative officer.
