Simplyhealth wins best health insurer prize at Personal Finance Awards

Simplyhealth has been named best health insurance provider at the consumer-voted Personal Finance Awards.

Now in their 18th year, the awards  are decided following a consumer vote via The Money Pages and recognise the best-performing businesses in the UK's personal finance market.

More than 11,000 people put forward a nomination for the awards this year, with Simplyhealth received around 70 percent of the 486 votes for the health insurance category.

The firm has won a number of Personal Finance Awards in the last few years, previously earning the title of best health insurance provider in 2013.

Raman Sankaran, spokesperson for Simplyhealth, said: "It's great to see that our plans continue to be a valued way of helping people to budget for their healthcare and continue to help our customers and clients meet the ever increasing everyday health needs."

The company serves nearly 3.5 million people nationwide and also helped to improve the lives of a further two million last year by donating 1.4 million pounds to charitable causes.
