Church and Dwight delivers further growth in third quarter of 2015

11th November 2015

Church and Dwight has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2015, during which it delivered strong organic sales and gross margin expansion.

The company's net sales total for the quarter came to $861.8 million (566.55 million pounds), up by 2.4 percent year over year, or 3.2 percent on an organic basis. Meanwhile, its earnings per share figure rose by 5.9 percent to $0.90.

Its consumer domestic sales division was its biggest contributor and key driver of growth, with top-performing brands including its Vitafusion gummy vitamins and Batiste dry shampoo.

Church and Dwight continues to expect organic sales growth of approximately three percent in 2015, driven by new product introductions within its core business.

James Craigie, chairman and chief executive officer of Church and Dwight, said: "Our strong organic growth was driven by innovative new products launched in all of our major categories as we believe that innovation is the key to increasing our market share and reviving category growth in this challenging economy."

Mr Craigie is to be succeeded by Matthew Farrell as chief executive at the start of next year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801805512-ADNFCR
