Olympus launches new well plate imaging innovations
Olympus has announced the launch of two new well plate imaging tools to accompany its customisable IX3 inverted microscope range.
The new Z-Drift Compensation IX3-ZDC2 module adds cutting-edge Olympus focal drift compensation technology to the microscope's feature set, enabling accurate focus stability during long time-lapse experiments.
With the IX3-ZDC2, users can focus up to four times faster than using the previous model, with its fully motorised dichroic mirror movement further reducing acquisition times, thus enabling fast and reliable multi well time-lapse acquisition.
In addition, the company is introducing the latest version of its life science imaging software, cellSens 1.14, which features an improved Well Navigator tool for smart and flexible multi-well experimental setup.
It also offers an improved data management system, a comprehensive search function and graphical representations of well plates with acquired images, enabling fast access to image data.
The report said: "Together, the IX3-ZDC2 and cellSens 1.14 optimise live cell and multi-well plate imaging experiments with an efficient and seamless workflow from image capture through measurement, analysis and report creation."
