Blast and Wellcome Trust to launch new nutrition initiative The Crunch

30th November 2015

Blast is working together with UK foundation The Wellcome Trust to launch a new initiative that aims to raise awareness of the need for better nutrition and sustainability standards.

The design consultancy is collaborating with several other agencies on The Crunch, a public engagement initiative focusing on food, health and the environment that will launch in March 2016 and runs until the end of next year.

More than 33,000 experiment kits will be distributed to schools and further education colleges across the country, with interactive experiences for families and and a network of ambassadors organising further activities also supporting the project.

A launch film has been created by Blast and animated by animation company Nipple, with digital marketing agency Itineris and business agency Red Setter also assisting with the launch.

Blast will coordinate the 14 other project partners involved in the scheme, including The Eden Project, Pearson and the University of Reading.

Colin Gifford, creative director at Blast, said: "While The Crunch is playful and energetic, it also has a serious and thoughtful dimension. This versatility helps us engage with all our audiences, from children to foodies and policymakers."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801806973-ADNFCR
