Tonic Life appoints new senior director

Tonic Life has announced the appointment of Louise Fish as its new senior director for public affairs and corporate communications.

The former Portland Health practice joint lead will join Tonic Life on January 4th 2016, working from the London office of Huntsworth Health, which includes Tonic Life in its portfolio, reports PRWeek.

Prior to being hired by Portland in March 2013, Ms Fish previously worked as director of communications and engagement at the NHS Confederation and director of communications at the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

In her new role, she will advise clients on issues and crisis management, managing the media, and building effective relationships with the government, policymakers and other influencers.

Mary Smiddy, global chief executive officer of Tonic Life Communications, said: "Louise is a leading figure in the industry and brings a remarkable degree of insight, experience and skills to the team."

This comes after the firm was named as international communications team of the year by industry publication PharmaTimes last month.
