Sirona introduces new colour scale for Cerec feldspathic ceramic blocks

Sirona has announced that its Cerec Bloc C and Bloc C PC feldspathic ceramic blocks are now available in Vita Classical colours.

The company has replaced its previous proprietary colouring system with the familiar colours of the Vita Classical A1-D4 shade guide, in order to improve their ease of use for dental professionals.

Vita's shade guide is recognised around the world, meaning dentists will no longer need to adjust to different colour systems. The range's 11 colours cover more than 93 percent of all restorations produced around the world. with the colours A1 to A3.5 alone accounting for 85 percent of them.

Additionally, Sirona's inCoris TZI C pre-coloured translucent zirconium oxide sintered ceramic is also being made available in the Classical colours.

The company said: "This facilitates the dentist's communication with the assistant and the dental technician when selecting the colour for the specific patient restoration to be produced."

Sirona will soon complete its merger with Dentsply, creating the world's leading manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies in the process.
